IEDC students attend two-day workshop on “Foundation Skills on Entrepreneurship”

A team of six student members of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) of the College participated in a two-day workshop on “Foundation Skills on Entrepreneurship” organised by the ICT Academy of Kerala jointly with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). The venue for the workshop was Govt Women’s Polytechnic College, Nedupuzha, Thrissur. There were a total of 34 students from various engineering colleges and polytechnic colleges attending the workshop. The participants were divided into small groups based on their institutional affiliations.

The first day of the workshop was devoted to discussions on idea pitching led by ICT Academy trainer Mr Nithin Das. He  asked each team to find a problem and then to find an innovative solution to that problem. On the second day, the participants created designs and made simple chart presentations. In the afternoon session, Mr Nithin gave a talk on entrepreneurship.

The workshop gave an opportunity for the participants to know more about entrepreneurship and to discuss many innovative ideas. The interaction between students of engineering colleges and students of polytechnic colleges was a new experience for the participants. The following students of Vidya participated in the workshop.
