NSS Units organise two Punarjjani Camps

Recall the Punarjjani Project of the the NSS Technical Cell – Kerala: The project for restoring healthcare facilities in Govt sector. The NSS units of Vidya have been organising several activities in various Govt hospitals in and around Thrissur under this project.

Recently, the NSS units of the College celebrated Deepavali by organising two Punarjjani camps:

  • A Camp at Government Hospital, Valappad, during 4 – 6 November 2018. As many as 47 NSS volunteers participated in the programme. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Fathima. Volunteers did cleaning, welding and painting of damaged medical equipments of the hospital. Volunteers also cleaned and applied a coat of paint on the boundary wall at the hospital entrance. Mr. Abilash C G (Trade Instructor, ME Dept) assisted the volunteers in repairing damaged medical equipments.

  • A Camp at Government Medical College Chest Hospital, Mulankunnathkavu, Thrissur during 4 – 6 November 2018. The programme  was inaugurated by Ms Minimol (Head Nurse). As many as 97 NSS volunteers  participated in the programme.
