Talk on CAD/CAM/DM by Er. Ramesh Chandra

A talk on CAD / CAM and Digital Manufacturing (DM) was delivered by Er. Ramesh Chandra from M/s. CEFIRE Global Ltd. to the final year students of Production Engineering Branch on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Digital Library. Er. Ramesh Chandra did his Masters from IIT – Kanpur and has extensive industry experience by having worked for TELCO, Tata Motors, and was instrumental in setting up the CAD/CAM Division at HCL Ltd.

During his talk, Er. Ramesh Chandra spoke about the fundamental qualities expected from fresh engineers, and provided an overview of the concepts and tools available under each of the three segments, viz. CAD, CAM and DM. He also provided a quick and a brief video demonstrating the potential of some of these tools which provided a lot of insight to the participants.
