Great! J-Gate has opened its doors to Vidya. Now students, faculty and staff members of Vidya can access the contents of a gigantic repository of knowledge collected in thousands of journals. This gateway which provides a platform to access research information from over 55 million journal articles (with access to 10 million full text articles) coming from 49,000+ journals will provide a huge impetus for the enhancement of quality in the teaching-learning process in the campus. What is J-Gate?

J-Gate is an electronic gateway to global e-journal literature. Launched in 2001 by Informatics India Limited, J-Gate provides seamless access to millions of journal articles available online offered by 12,202 Publishers. It presently has a massive database of journal literature, indexed from 52,412 e-journals with links to full text at publisher sites. J-Gate also plans to support online subscription to journals, electronic document delivery, archiving and other related services.
