Q-Fiesta 2K17 : Science Quiz Competition for Higher Secondary School Students

The College has embarked on an ambitious project of organising a mega-science quiz involving students of more than a hundred Higher Secondary Schools in Thrissur District. The project, christened Q-Fiesta 2K17, is implemented in three stages. The first stage was organising preliminary quizzes in the premises of the schools themselves and it has has already been completed. The top five or six performers of each school were then invited to the College for a zonal level quiz competition. This is planned to be completed in three phases. Two of these phases have been complete on 29.11.2017 and 30.11.207. A total of 267 students participated in the two phases of the zonal competitions. The third phase is planned to be held sometimes in early January 2018.  The zonal competitions were held as online quizzes. The top scorers of the zonal competitions will finally be called to appear for a challenging quiz programme to be conducted in the Auditorium of the college.

As part of the zonal competitions, a meeting of the participants and their accompanying teachers and parents was held in the Auditorium. Dr Sudha Balagopalan, Principal, Er. G Mohanachandran, Executive Director, Dr V N Krishnachandran, Vice-Principal and Ms. Asha, Student Counsellor, addressed the gathering.
