One-day workshop on Arduino by EEE Dept for Polytechnic College students
The EEE Dept. of the College organized a one-day workshop on Arduino on 15.12.2017 for the benefit of Polytechnic College students. As many as 40 final year Polytechnic College students participated in the workshop.
The activities of the workshop were started with a brief inaugural ceremony. Mr. Krishnakumar M (AP, EEE Dept.) welcomed the dignitaries and participants. Dr. Sudha Balagopalan, Principal, presided over the function and talked about the importance of continuing learning throughout one’s life. Er. G Mohanachandran, Executive Director, VICT, inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp. Mr. Arun P R (Trade Instructor, EEE Dept.) delivered the vote of thanks.
After the inaugural ceremony, the participants were divided into 20 teams of 2 members each. Mr. Vishnu Rach K R (AP, EEE Dept.) gave an introduction the Arduino IDE software and hardware in the first session. Basic interfacing programs were then discussed and this was followed by hands-on sessions.
During the afternoon, theory of analog circuits such as analog-to-digital conversion, voltage divider, etc., were explained and the participants were given hands-on training on them. In the final session students were able to create their own circuits and programs equivalent to industrial automation.
All the participants successfully completed the workshop and they were really happy that they could develop the programs themselves. Mr. Rajesh S.K (Asso. Prof., EEE Dept.) congratulated all the participants and distributed participation certificates.
