Faculty members participate in Capability Enhancement Programme
A session on “Capability enhancement for Staff members” was held on 13th February 2018. A total of 120 faculty members participated in the workshop.
The session started with an invocation.
VSSC convener, Ms Bittu L welcomed all the dignitaries. Dr Sudha Balagopalan, principal, VAST presided over the function. Er. G. Mohanachandran, ED, VICT, inaugurated the workshop series. Mr. Suresh Sivaraman, Trainer and HR consultant, Elan Tattva delivered the key note address. Dr. Latha Raj P, SWS, Advisor, SAMEEKSHA and VSSC briefed about the course contents. Sameeksha convener and AP, ME, Mr. Hareesh K, proposed the vote of thanks
The session was jointly organized by Sameeksha & VSSC. The session contents was well organized and activity oriented approach comprising of discussions on challenges faced by new generation student community and provided an open forum to faculty members for analyzing the critical challenges. The discussion focused on where the students are bound to face in present educational systems and the impact can cause in their academic and personal growth as well.
There were activities to measure the individual competency skills and inputs were given to enhance such skills to become an exceptional with strong ideologies who can contribute a lot more towards socio economic development. The session clearly conveyed the growth of institution is always on the quality of its stake holders which in case of educational institutions are attainable only through empowering skills of faculty.
This platform rather designed many action plans/strategies framed by participants after healthy discussions which can be implemented instantaneously and can have spontaneous outcome in betterment of students. The session beautifully voyaged through the transformation mechanism from an average student to an ideal student and made the participants realize and analyze the role of teachers in enhancing the competency level of their students.
The session was well accepted by the participants and few participants shared their feedback. Apart, there were several joyful moments of togetherness too especially during the traditional Sadhya. Dr. Latha Raj honored the trainer by presenting a memento as a token of gratitude and love.
The session came to an end by 4.15 PM and then, Ms. Akhila, Secretary, SAMEEKSHA delivered the vote of thanks.
