CSE student participates in KDE India Conf, Delhi

Subin Siby (S6 B Tech CSE B) participated as a speaker in the KDE India Conf in Delhi on 17-19 January 2020. KDE India conf is conducted annually by the KDE India community. This year, it was conducted in Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, located in Rohini, Delhi, India. In his talk, Subin spoke about his experience with revamping Malayalam localization and how KDE is used in Kerala. The entire trip was sponsored by KDE. KDE contributors and enthusiasts from different parts of India attended the event. Two KDE devs from Netherlands were also speakers at the event.

 KDE is an international team co-operating on development and distribution of Free, Open Source Software for desktop and portable computing. For users on Linux and Unix, KDE offers a full suite of user workspace applications which allow interaction with these operating systems in a modern, graphical user interface. This includes Plasma Desktop, KDE’s innovative desktop interface. Other workspace applications are included to aid with system configuration, running programs, or interacting with hardware devices. While the fully integrated KDE Workspaces are only available on Linux and Unix, some of these features are available on other platforms
