Prof A S Rao launches V-THINC

V-THINC  (Vidya’s Talking, Hearing & Integrating kNowledge Club)

The official launch of the third season of Minor Projects and Research Group of Vidya, a group consisting of volunteers from the first year B Tech students, was conducted in the Zoom platform on 30 November 2020  at 3pm. This year the club has been named V-THINC (Vidya’s Talking, Hearing & Integrating kNowledge Club). The whole programme was anchored by Vaanisha Murali. The launch commenced with prayer by Medha Sudheer and welcome speech by Neha Reshma Girish, students of first semester B Tech classes.

Prof A S Rao, President, Indian Innovators Association, Advisor/Consultant /Mentor –IITH, VNRVJIET, was the chief guest of the programme. He  delivered  the inaugural address and mentioned about the importance of engineering students getting involved  in projects which are useful to the society.

Principal Dr Saji C B presided over the function. Dean-Academics Dr Sudha Balagopalan who was the master brain behind the club and its activities shared the concepts and  the ideas behind the project. Er  G Mohanachandran, Executive Director, VICT, Mr Suresh Lal, Director – Administration & Finance, Dr V N Krishnachandran, Vice Principal, VAST extended their felicitations.

Er G Mohanachandran announced the launch of the official website of V-THINC,  constructed by Appu K, Anurag Chandra, Aswin M M, Sanjo Simon, Kochouseph John, Sreenath M S, Vishnu Sudheer, Joseph Tony and Sudharshan , mentored by Arjun Raghunandanan and Abhijith Sheheer. Various student representatives (Hiba PB, Neeraja Krishnakumar, Ashly Jenson, Gokul Palliyath and Najmal Ali) of all departments shared their expectations and hopes about the Club and its activities. Sreepriya A proposed the vote of thanks. About three hundred members of the Club and faculty members of various Departments attended the program.

The performance of the students in all areas of the function was widely appreciated, including the invitation letter and the website.
