Vidya’s NSS volunteers set up a hanging garden in Pudukkad Railway Station

It was unusual sight in a railway station: a group of students cleaning the premises and setting up a hanging garden near the station. It was precisely what a group of NSS volunteers of Vidya presented in Pudukkad Railway Station on 9 January 2021.  On the occasion, a programme called “Oru Yathrakk Oru Chedi” and initiated by the Train Passengers’ Association was also inaugurated. As per this programme, passengers can donate saplings for planting in the hanging garden as memoial of their journey. Mr Aljo P Antony, Member, Block Panchayath and Mr K M Baburaj, President, Pudukkad Grama Panchayath together inaugurated the programme. Mr. Arun K L (AP, ME Dept) and NSS programme officer Mr  Suneesh E also participated in the programme.
