MCA HoD’s paper attracts a lively discussion on REDDIT

Dr V N Krishnachandran (Prof and Head, MCA Dept) reports that he was pleasantly surprised when he accidentally stumbled upon a Reddit discussion on a paper on the history of differential equations  which he had written and which he had uploaded to the preprint archiving service arXiv. Reddit is an American social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. As of September 2021, Reddit ranks as the 19th-most-visited website in the world and 7th most-visited website in the U.S., according to Alexa Internet. The paper titled “Differential Equations: A Historical Refresher” is the written version of a talk delivered in an ISTE sponsored Faculty Development Programme on Applications of Advanced Mathematics in Engineering held in Vidya during 27 November – 01 December 2017.
