Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights and biodiversity was conducted on 19/11/2021-20/11/2021. Mr. Renjith R served as the resource person of the session.

The event  provided a platform for knowing Patenting and copyright protection .It was arranged by civil engineering department in association with IEDC cell, VAST .Such awareness sessions play crucial roles in fostering innovation and creativity by providing inventors and creators with exclusive rights over their intellectual property. Understanding the differences between these two forms of protection is essential for individuals and businesses seeking to safeguard their innovations and creative works in today’s knowledge-based economy. By leveraging patenting and copyright protection effectively, innovators and creators can maximize the value of their intellectual assets while contributing to the advancement of technology and culture.

Nearly 25 participants including faculty members and interested students of the final year batch also  attended the programme.
