EEE Dept conducts one more workshop on Arduino for polytechnic college students

A one-day workshop on “Arduino Programming Simulation & Hardware Interface” was hosted by the EEE Dept exclusively for the Electrical Diploma Students of Maharaja’s Technological Institute (MTI), Thrissur on 12 April 2022. As many as 49 students attended the program. The focus of the workshop was to impart programming and interfacing skills using Arduino board.

The inaugural ceremony was commenced with a welcome speech of Dr Mary P Varghese (HOD-in-Charge, EEE Dept). Dr Saji C B (Principal) inaugurated the function. Mr Arun Xavier (AP, EEE Dept), resource person for the workshop, gave an overview of the program. Mr Krishnakumar M (AP, EEE Dept) proposed the vote of thanks.

After the formal inauguration, the students were introduced to the software platform of Arduino boards called Arduino IDE and to the online simulation of the program. In the hands-on hardware sessions, students were given onboard training on digital read, digital write, analog read, analog write, serial monitoring etc. In the last hours they were asked to complete a small project using all these functions.

Mr Arun Xavier (AP, EEE Dept) led the sessions as resource person of the workshop. Trade Instructors Ms Baby K A, Ms Jisha P R, Mr Arun P R and Mr Anand E T of EEE Dept assisted the resource person during the sessions.

The workshop concluded with a valedictory function in which Mr Krishnakumar M (AP, EEE Dept) felicitated the participants.
