MCA Orientation Programme
The Dept of Computer Applications organised an Orientation Programme on 07 October 2022 at 9:30 am for the newly admitted students in the Main Seminar Hall of the college.The whole programme was structured into two sessions.
The sessions
The first session was a formal programme where the important functionaries of the College and the management felicitated the newly admitted students. In this part Dr Reji C Joy (HoD ,MCA Dept) welcomed the 17th Batch of MCA students, their parents and the gathering. The presidential speech was delivered by Dr Saji C B. Dr V N Krishnachandran (Former Vice Principal and HoD, MCA Dept) gave keynote address. Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director), Adv P N Unnirajan IPS (retired) (Director – Administration) and Dr Sudha Balagopalan, (Dean-Academics) felicitated the newly admitted students. Mr Paul Chackola (Head, Training & Placement) gave an overview of the placement scenario. Rohini T B (2020 – 22 batch, MCA Dept) gave felicitations as a special invitee. Mr Sajay K R (Asso Prof, MCA Dept and Convenor, Orientation Programme) offered vote of thanks.
In the second session, a brief overview of the history of the College and the facilities available in the college and the Department was given. This was done through a presentation by Anusa R (S3, MCA) and Akshay (S3, MCA). All faculty members and staff of the Dept were introduced to the freshers. The important aspects of the rules and regulations of the college were also explained.
