Meet the Civil Engineer – Student Alumni Interaction

To offer academic and professional interaction and networking among Alumni, the Dept of Civil Engineering, conducted a talk about wide opportunities in civil engineering “Meet the Civil Engineer ” by alumni on 31 May 2023. The talk was held at 7.00 pm through Google Meet platform, which started with the welcome address delivered by Mr. Kiran Babu (Asst Prof, CE Dept).Dr Justine Jose (HoD, CE Dept) addressed the participants and briefly described the highlights of previous meetings. He clearly mentioned the highlights of our department as well as the placement opportunities in the Civil Engineering field. The significance of Civil Engineering field, on site experience etc. were portrayed evidently by Dr Justine.

After the inaugural session, technical talks were conducted by the alumni.The program was focused to share practical experience about a variety of opportunities in the Civil Engineering career.Er Neerad Mohan (2008-2012 Batch) (worked at Sobha Developers, 8 years experience in teaching filed as Assistant Professor and an Entrepreneur),Er Reeba Job (2006-2010  Batch (worked at L&T, Kochi Metro(KMRL),Er Arun Vincent (2009-2013 Batch (Solid Waste Management sector) were the resource persons for the session.

Students from current academic batches as well as plus two students, participated in the interactive session. All of them were excited and gave us excellent feedback about the program. They were interested to participate in more such sessions.
