CSE Dept releases Technical Magazine ‘Data Vikalpa’
The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department marks many significant milestone showcasing the department’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and societal impact through various activities .
The release of technical magazine of CSE Dept ‘Data Vikalpa’ held on 29 April 2024 witnessed the meticulous efforts of the editorial team. This milestone event showcased the prowess and innovation of students across all academic years, highlighting their technical acumen, digital artistry, and social contribution projects. The magazine encompassed a diverse range of technical articles authored by students, offering insights into emerging trends, cutting-edge research, and practical applications in the field of computer science and engineering. From foundational concepts to advanced methodologies, each article reflected the depth of knowledge and passion within the CSE community.
Among the featured highlights were the CSE Social Contributive Projects, underscoring the department’s commitment to leveraging technology for societal good. Collaborating with the Indian Youth With Disabilities (I-YWD) initiative, in partnership with the National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH), students showcased innovative solutions aimed at enhancing accessibility and inclusion through digital innovation. The magazine also celebrated the research contributions made by the CSE Department during the academic year 2023-’24.
Additionally, the magazine provided a sneak peek into the Tech Fest 2024, which provided a platform for students to showcase their technical innovation by competing in games and events, and attending workshops and presentations. A prominent feature of the magazine was the coverage of the International Hackathon on Large Language Models, conducted through the connections Dr Ramani Bai (HoD, CSE Dept) in collaboration with Hardpoint Consulting. This initiative not only provided students with exposure to real-world challenges but also facilitated networking opportunities with industry leaders and experts. The magazine includes project previews and details in the form of aesthetic posters.
