NSS volunteers participate APJ KTU -NRPF Thrissur Palakkad Regional Meet

NSS volunteers of Vidya attended the flagship orientation program of APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University NRPF (Natural Resource Protection Force)  Thrissur-Palakad regional meet which was held at Royal College of Engineering and Technology on 18 August 2024. Mr Anshif (NRPF Regional Co-ordinator) welcomed the program. Ms Meena Sajan (Kadangode Gram Panchayat President) inaugurated the function presided over by Dr Devi  (College Principal).

The need and concerns of nature conservation were discussed in the function. Mr Vipin Krishna (KTU NSS Thrissur Regional Co-ordinator) and Mr Krishnakumar (NSS Program Officer) extended their greetings. The objectives of the organization, which aims to protect and nurture natural resources, were imparted to the volunteers who participated from various colleges. Eminent trainer Ajeesh interacted with the children.

The volunteers made a success of the scrap challenge undertaken to collect funds for the construction of 150 houses to be built by NSS in Mundakai, Churalmala disaster area. Volunteer Secretaries Basit, Rafna, Rashmi, Krishnaprasad and other volunteers led the program. NSS Volunteer Secretary Rafna thanked for the function. The NSS volunteers Devika Santhosh (S5, EEE Dept),  Fredisha K Francis (S5, EEE Dept), Veena -(S5, EEE Dept), Ann Rose (S5, AIML Dept), Abin C S (S5, ME Dept), Adharsh krishna (S5, ME Dept) and Amal Krishna (S5, ME Dept) represted Vidya at the Regional Meet
