IEDC conducts Boot Camp with an array of exemplary sessions

To  foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical skills among students, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of Vidya conducted Three impactful events during  23- 25 August 2024.

The Project Pitching Extracurricular Activity on 23 August 2024, provided students from third, fifth and seventh semester  with a platform to present their ideas and receive feedback from Exe-Com members. The event promoted creativity, peer learning, and real-world problem-solving. Positive feedback highlighted its success in enhancing practical learning and skills development, with recommendations for regular follow-up activities.

An expert  talk session on “Innovating the Future: The Intersection of Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability” led by Dr Vipin V K (CEO of STEM Cadets)  was conducted on 25 August 2024, His insights on startup challenges, sustainability, and innovation inspired participants, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking. Recommendations included follow-up workshops and mentorship programs.

The UI/UX Hands-on Workshop on Figma, held on 24 August 2024 and led by final-year student Nikhil Mukundan (S7, CSE Dept) introduced 62 students to design principles and practical Figma use. Participants engaged in a design challenge, developing their technical skills, with requests for more advanced workshops and project-based learning.

The Boot Camp was co-ordinated by Mr Anil M (IEDC Nodal Officer and Asst Prof, ECE Dept).
