Publishing ceremony of the Differently Abled Persons Survey Report

Vidya explores all sort of possibilities for providing  suitable assistance and assistive devices to the differently abled persons.

With this aim Vidya signed an MoU with Cherpu Block Panchayath on 05 February 2024.  Based on this, a survey was carried  to help differently abled persons based on their needs, to provide appropriate rehabilitation work and to identify their exact locations and category of disability.

Cherpu Block Panchayath has conducted an official function for the launch of Survey Report Software for Disabled Persons at Cherpu Block Panchayath Office on 24 October 2024.Around 100 members including different Panjayath presidents, CDS members, standing committee members, Asha workers were present in the meeting.

The inauguration was perfomed by Mr V S Prince (District Panchayath President) by publishing the differently abled persons Survey Report to Mr Nizamudeen A, IAS (KILA Director).

As part of the MOU signed by EEE Department and AIML Department of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology with Cherpu Block Panjayath, Vidya extended whole hearted support to the Panchayath by developing a software and there by entering the collected data and consolidating the same. The process helped the Panchayath all  the data available on finger tips. 

Dr Sunitha C (Principal,VAST), Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Former Dean Academics), Dr Mary P Varghese (HoD, EEE Dept), Ms Sheeja G (Asst Prof, EEE Dept ) and Ms Riya P D (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) attended the ceremony. Dr Sunitha C (Principal,VAST) gave felicitation and also motivated students for the hands-on experience in real time project.

Students’ core team containing five students who coordinated and prepared Data Survey Report Software also attended the function and received certificates from District Panchayath President.
