Vidya Central Library marks 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India with unwavering assurance
Vidya inculcates the values of the nation’s ethos, ideals among students by honoring important occasions with much respect. Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas, is celebrated every year on November 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Indian constitution shaping the democratic framework of the nation. Recognizing the significance of this historic event, the Government of India officially declared November 26 as Constitution Day in 2015, under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Vidya Central Library organized an array of activities to commemorate 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India on 26 November 2024.The list of events started with reading out the Preamble.Adithya S (S1, CSE Dept) and Sreya Sinoj (S1, ECE Dept) read out the preamble and the students made unique awareness features of the Constitution and the fundamental duties. Reading of the Preamble Before reading the preamble, Mr Girish Kumar P.C (Librarian) emphasized the importance of the Constitution as a visionary document and the role of Dr B R Ambedkar, (Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constitution). Ms Fetsy K Francis (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) and Dr Anjali P Sasidharan (Asso Prof, CE Dept) also attended the session . Extempore Competition Vidya Central Library also hosted an Extempore Competition. Around 30 students participated in the event with much vigor and expressed their ideas. Dr Abhilasha P S (HoD, CE Dept) and Ms Surabhi M S (Asst Librarian) served as judges.The event was supported by Mr Aneesh M A (Library Attendant) and Mr K Vijayanarayanan (Library Attendant) under the guidance of Mr Girish Kumar P.C (Librarian).
