CSE Dept organizes Alumni talk on “Windows Security Product Development”

The department of  CSE has been conducting various initiatives  to provide an insight about the learning experiences of the alumni to the current students and acquainted them on the proficiency sets essential to get good careers.

The CSE Dept hosted an insightful alumni talk featuring Ms Greeshma C (2009 – 2013 CSE Dept) who is currently working as Software Development Engineer at Trellix, India and expert in Windows security product development on 06 January 2024 . The event,was attended by enthusiastic second-year students eager to learn from the experiences of a seasoned professional.

The session began with a warm welcome from Dr Sunitha C (HoD,CSE, Dept, Principal) who emphasized the importance of alumni interactions in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications. Ms Greeshma shared their journey from Vidya to their current role as , highlighting key milestones and challenges faced along the way.

During the talk,Ms Greeshma delved into the intricacies of Windows security product development, covering topics such as the Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), threat modelling, and the latest advancements. The speaker also discussed some recent case studies related to the topic

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insights from the speaker. The alumni talk was a resounding success, leaving students inspired and motivated to pursue excellence in their studies and future careers.
