VSEC conducts Empowerment Program 2K25 : Turn Possibilities into Reality

The Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC), an initiative of the Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT), has been organizing various empowerment sessions aimed at equipping high school and higher secondary students with valuable insights and motivation to utilize their potential and recognize the importance of time management in achieving their aspirations.

VSEC organized a two-day online empowerment program titled “Empowerment Program 2K25: Turn Possibilities into Reality” on 14th and 15th January 2025. The first day of the program focused on the importance of time management. The session began with a prayer led by Ann Rose Rajan (S6, AIML Dept). Anagha K Sudharshanan (S6, CSE Dept) provided an introduction to VSEC, followed by a warm welcome speech by Jithisha U J (S4, CSE Dept). The esteemed resource person for the day was introduced by Varundev A V (S8, ECE Dept). The speaker, Ms. Akhila R (Asst. Prof., EEE Dept), delivered an insightful session on the significance of time management and its impact on achieving success. The vote of thanks was presented by Gayathri P (S4, ECE Dept). The day’s anchoring was skillfully handled by Sinan Sulaiman (S8, ME Dept).

The second day of the Empowerment Programme centered on unlocking the potential of the participants. The session began with a prayer led by Ann Mariya Steephan (S6, EEE Dept), followed by a warm welcome address by Daya Rose (S4, CSE Dept). Krishnaveni T (S8, ECE Dept) introduced the resource person, Mr. Alex Chacko (Research Scholar, ME Dept, GEC Thrissur). Mr. Alex Chacko shared valuable insights and practical tips on unleashing one’s potential through various engaging activities. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Chanjal Chandran (S4, CSE Dept), who acknowledged the contributions of the speaker and organizers.The day’s anchoring was effectively managed by Gayathri Gireesh (S8, ECE Dept)

Mohammed Ishfaq Abdul Rahim (S6, CSE Dept) designed the welcome banner for the Empowerment program.  Abraham John (S4, ECE Dept) and Abin C S (S6, ME Dept) photographed the event. Anjay Krishnan (S6, EEE Dept) designed the poster for the event. Muhammad Aslam V A (S6, ME Dept) was responsible for issuing  E-certificates for all participants, volunteers and coordinators.

The Empowerment Programme 2K25, organized by VSEC, proved to be a remarkable platform for school students to gain meaningful insights and motivation. The sessions, which focused on unlocking potential and emphasizing the importance of time management, were both engaging and inspiring. Feedback was gathered from participants, and e-certificates were awarded to all for their active participation. The program’s success was made possible through the collective efforts of the organizers, resource persons, and enthusiastic participants.

Dr Abitha M A (Assoc. Prof, ECE Dept), Ms Riya Roy (Asst. Prof, AIML Dept), Sinan Sulaiman (S8, ME Dept) and Varundev A V (S8, ECE Dept) coordinated the programme under the leadership of Dr. Siju K C (Head, VSEC and Assoc Prof, AS Dept) with the support of VSEC coordinators and student volunteers.
