Awareness session on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)

An awareness session on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and about the opportunities through GATE was shared with the B. Tech students of all branches of the 2026 graduating batch. Mr. Sabeesh, an established GATE trainer, informed the gathering about what is GATE examination, the date when GATE is conducted, the qualification cut-off process, and about the general GATE pattern.

Several, in fact now most of the public sector companies recruit through the GATE examination. He informed the students of the companies and their selection process and shared the details of likely salary packages and other benefits provided by companies that recruit on the basis of GATE score.

  • The GATE Exam scores are also used by some renowned foreign universities viz. Nanyang Technological University, and NUS, Singapore, Technical University of Munich, and Aachen University, Germany, etc. So, if you ever dream about studying abroad, here is your chance.
  • The job opportunities for ME/M. Tech graduates are popular in the industry. But, this is when you pursue your ME/M. Tech Course from a renowned university or college, and for that, you need to clear GATE Exam.
  • The GATE scorecard is also considered by the Public Sector Companies (PSU) like IOC, SAIL, ONGC, etc. A great way to get top engineering-related jobs.
  • This examination will allow you to sharpen your skills and polish your knowledge in your desired discipline
