CSE student completes Internship

Vidya students attend internships with an aim to get  valuable learning experience and hands-on experience and enhances their  skills in programming, problem-solving and critical thinking.Fathima Nasrin (S4, CSE Dept) successfully completed a 2-months data science internship at AICTE.

During her  internship, Fathima worked on two projects. Her  major project involved developing an “Online Retail Recommendation System”, which aimed to design and implement a recommendation system for an online retail platform.This project helped her to  understand the concepts of data preprocessing, feature engineering and model evaluation. I gained experience in working with large datasets, building predictive models, and deploying them in a production-ready environment.

Her minor project involved submitting a report on “Decorators and Generators in Python”. This project helped her  delve deeper into the concepts of decorators and generators in Python, which are essential for any aspiring data scientist. Fathima   learned how to use decorators to modify the behavior of functions and generators to create iterators.Upon completion of her internship, Fathima  received three certificates: a Certificate of Internship, a Certificate of Industrial Training, and a Letter of Recommendation. These certificates acknowledged her  hard work, dedication, and commitment to learning during the internship.
