NSS Volunteers spread joy at Thalir Buds Rehabilitation Centre with cultural performances and gifts during ‘Pravesanolsavam’

Marking the start of a new academic year, the NSS Units of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology actively engaged in “Pravesanolsavam” on 02 June 2025 at Thalir Buds Rehabilitation Centre, located under Velur Grama Panchayat. The celebration aimed to greet the students with warmth and enthusiasm while fostering a joyful spirit among the children.

A total of 16 NSS volunteers, along with the NSS Programme Officers, attended the event.As a token of appreciation and support, gifts were presented to the students of the centre. The volunteers also organised and performed various cultural programmes, including group songs and dance performances, which created a cheerful and engaging atmosphere for both students and staff members.

The NSS Volunteer Secretaries (Aswathy E S (S6,  CSE Dept),Mrithyunjay R (S6, EEE Dept),Devika Mothilal (S6,  ECE Dept) and Aruna R Menon (S6, CSE Dept)) successfully organised and executed the event. Mr Ranjith E R ((NSS Program Officer,  Asst Prof, ME Dept) and Ms Delmy David V (NSS Program Officer,  Asst Prof, CSE Dept) provided invaluable guidance and motivation to the volunteers throughout the planning and implementation stages.

The presence of the NSS team added vibrance to the celebration and created a memorable experience for everyone involved.
