VICT leadership reaffirms Strategic Commitment to Vidya’s continued excellence

Vidya has achieved remarkable milestones in delivering quality education over the past years, staying true to its vision — “Progress Through Education.” A significant step in fortifying the institution’s growth trajectory was marked by the visit of Dr Santosh Prasannan (Executive Committee Member, VICT) and Er P K.Ashokan (Chief Patron, VICT) to Vidya campus on 24 June2025.

The meeting extended a warm welcome to Dr. Shalij P. R. on his assumption of charge as Director – Academics on 16 June 2025.  Dr Santosh Prasannan expressed the wholehearted support of the management and VICT, reaffirming their commitment to working collaboratively toward academic excellence. Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT) who chaired the meeting, emphasized the need for sustained institutional growth and the adoption of a well-defined strategic roadmap to guide future initiatives. Dr. Shalij emphasized the importance of academic rigor and highlighted the transformative role of academic excellence and a vibrant research ecosystem in building a progressive, future-ready institution.Dr. Sunitha C (Principal) presented a comprehensive overview of the institution, highlighting notable achievements and identifying strategic areas for ongoing improvement and sustained growth.

Dr. Santosh Prasannan, in an engaging session with Heads of Academic Departments and Placement and Training Head,  underscored the critical importance of enhancing educational standards, fostering a strong research culture, and driving overall institutional development. He highlighted the vital role of elevating academic standards and nurturing a vibrant research environment to shape the institution’s future. Dr. Santosh emphasized that through strong industry collaboration and well-structured internships, students are more likely to secure job offers and gain practical insights that significantly contribute to their career success.

Er P K.Ashokan highlighted the need to expand research initiatives through industry partnerships and enhance Faculty Development Programs via external collaborations. Citing several impactful examples, he emphasized that strong industry collaboration and internship opportunities are key to equipping students with practical skills and enhancing their chances of employment

They engaged in productive discussions with Heads of Academic Departments  gaining firsthand insight into the institution’s successes and challenges.Adv. P. N. Unnirajan IAS (Retd.), (Director – Administration) shared insights on bridging academia and industry through internships and meaningful engagement.

The leadership duo also extended their heartiest congratulations to Vidya’s staff members, applauding their collective efforts in steering the institution toward recognition as a premier engineering college.

The valuable insights, suggestions, and commitments made during the visit have energized the entire Vidya community, setting the stage for new growth and achievements. Their visit aimed at strengthening ties between the College and the Management and identifying new avenues for further development.
