Vidya to honor excellence and empower dreams at Scholarship and Endowment Bestowal Function on 19 July 2025

In an era witnessing exponential global growth in the field of engineering, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, established in 2003, is set to organize its 2025 edition of  Scholarship and Endowment Bestowal Function .

The scholarship program is a flagship initiative under the Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT). Since its inception, the program has benefitted over 6,100 students, with cumulative financial aid surpassing Rs 91 crore. The scholarships are awarded annually to support students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds, aligning with Vidya’s guiding vision of “Empowering Through Education.The initiative continues to support talented students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

Manappuram Finance Limited, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative Manappuram Foundation, will award 34 scholarships totaling Rs 19 lakhs to eligible students during the event.

As part of the event, the Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) will distribute scholarships to school students from Thrissur district who have emerged as top performers under the Trust’s scholarship program.

Additionally, the ceremony will witness the distribution of scholarships under ‘ROOTS’, a comprehensive scholarship initiative by the alumni of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department of Vidya. This scholarship is exclusively awarded to students who have secured admission to the Electrical Engineering programme at Vidya.

 The event will be presided over by Er Gouthaman P K (Patron Trustee of VICT.) Key figures from the institution, including Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT), Dr Shaalij P R (Director – Academics) and Dr Sunitha C (Principal), will lead the proceedings of the scholarship distribution.
