Vidya honors academic brilliance of Computer Science toppers in Thrissur district

With a strong commitment to holistic development, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology (VAST)  continues to empower young minds, instill resilience and foster a transformative path of growth that transcends conventional academic boundaries.

As part of this mission, an inspiring event titled “Celebrating Centum Success in Computer Science & Computer Applications” was organized on 29 May 2025 by the Association of Computer Teachers, under the auspices of VIBE (Vidya Initiative for Better Engineering).The event took place at Vivekodayam Boys Higher Secondary School, Thrissur, drawing the participation of nearly 400 students from schools across the district.The session was inaugurated by  Mr. Mechery Louis Ouseppachan (Music composer and Singer).

The event celebrated the academic excellence of students who performed exceptionally well in Computer Science, encouraging them to explore future opportunities in technology. Mementos were presented as a token of appreciation for their hard work and commitment.As keynote speaker, Mr Paul Chakola (Head, Training and Placement Cell, VAST) outlined the breadth of engineering career avenues and how students can prepare for a fast-evolving industry.He also shared insights into engineering career options in today’s dynamic tech industry.

The success of the event was greatly supported by the active involvement of Mr. Pran K (HSST, Computer Science, Vivekodayam Boys HSS), Mr. Shajan Jose (HSST, Computer Science, St. Joseph H.S.S, Pavaratty), and other dedicated members of the Association of Computer Teachers, whose contributions were sincerely appreciated.

The session was ably coordinated by Dr. Anjali P Sasidharan (Asso Prof, CE Dept, VAST)  with great effectiveness.Ms Ponsy Paul (Asst Prof, CE Dept) and Ms Roshni Vijay (Asst Prof, CE Dept)  actively inspired and supported the students throughout the event.
