AIML Dept celebrates the faculty-student research publication in the Journal of Research and Review in Quantum Computing

The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) Dept actively explores advanced methodologies, highlighting its commitment to nurturing student-faculty research collaboration

It is with great pride and honor that  the AIML Dept announces the successful publication of a research paper in the Journal of Research and Review in Quantum Computing Vol.1, Issue 3, 2025. The survey paper  titled “Understanding Similes in Text: A Survey of Machine Learning and Deep Learning Approaches for Figurative Language Recognition”, authored by Ms. Manjusha P. D  (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) and O. Varadha Vijay Menon (S6, AIML Dept) was presented at the third ‘International Conference on Intelligent Techniques in Computer and Engineering Science (ITCES’25)’, held at the College of Engineering Perumon, Kollam, during  10–11 March 2025.

The study applies Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models to tackle the complex task of interpreting figurative language in text, with a particular emphasis on similes.
