Lighting up Christmas with inspired creations

Christmas is around the corner, and all places are filled with church carols, glowing stars, and festive holdings. This week, the  Editorial Team of fully highlights the revamping of Vidya Skill Centre and the innovative creativity shown by our staff members to welcome Christmas celebrations.
Vidya Skill Centre team proudly unveils its newest seasonal product, showcasing the incredible talent of our members. The Christmas holdings and LED star preparation initiative was organized under the auspices of Vidya Skill Centre in association with ECE Dept   with the aim of promoting the festive spirit on campus.Ms. Shegi Prakash (Trade Instructor, ECE Dept), Ms. Nimya M. G. (Lab Instructor, AS Dept), and Ms. Priyanka Vijayakumar (Trade Instructor, ECE Dept) collaboratively designed and crafted a variety of Christmas items, including eco-friendly LED stars and decorative holdings made from durable, sustainable materials, among other creative pieces.Production was carried out through well-coordinated  sessions where teams managed cutting, assembly, wiring, decoration, and quality checks. Mr Anil Melepurath (Head,Vidya Skill Center and Asst Prof- Sel.Grade, ECE Dept) offered unwavering support and strategic leadership, significantly contributing to the seamless organization and successful execution of this initiative.In a modest ceremony on 11 December 2025 at the Principal’s chamber,Dr. Sunitha C (Principal) received the inaugural model and appreciated the creators of the initiative, expressing hope for more innovative projects under Vidya Skill Centre in the future.
The finished items were displayed and sold on campus, receiving an excellent response from students, staff, and visitors. LED stars, in particular, saw high demand and contributed significantly to the total revenue generated.
The initiative not only showcased the creativity and dedication of staff members but also strengthened teamwork and community engagement while adding vibrant festive décor to the campus. The activity concluded successfully with positive feedback and suggestions to expand production and introduce additional decorative variants in the coming years.The vibrant displays received overwhelming appreciation from students, staff, and visitors—lighting up our campus while supporting welfare initiatives.
It is worth noting that, despite their hectic practical and lab sessions, they managed to carve out time to display their creativity and support the initiative.
