Principal releases MCA Departmental Compendium of Seminar Papers

With the aim of encouraging student research and academic writing and preserving their scholarly work in a professional format, Dr. Sunitha C, (Principal)  formally released the Compendium of Seminar Papers of the Vidya MCA Department (VMCADS – 2025) . The release function was held in the presence of Dr. Reji C Joy (HoD, MCA)  and Ms. Siji K B (Asst Prof, MCA)

The compendium is a collection of seminar papers presented during the two-day Departmental Seminar of the MCA Department, organized from 21–23 April 2025. This annual seminar marks the culmination of the coursework of MCA fourth-semester students.

The Department of Computer Applications initiated the practice of publishing seminar papers as proceedings in 2013, thereby setting a tradition of documenting student research and academic efforts. The current volume includes study papers prepared and presented by the students, following the IEEE conference paper format.

As part of the preparatory process, students were also introduced to LaTeX software through a basic training programme organized by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) of Vidya, enabling them to format their papers in line with professional academic standards.
