Technical talk on ‘Tekla Structures’ and internship offer distribution’ by Keyword Technologies
The Dept of Civil Engineering conducts a session to familiarize students with modern structural detailing approaches and the application of 3D modeling, detailing, and coordination tools in construction projects.
CE Dept organized a technical talk by Keyword Technologies to highlight the industry relevance of Tekla Structures in contemporary civil engineering practice on 16 February 2026.Special emphasis was placed on bridging academic knowledge with professional requirements through exposure to industry-standard practices.
Representatives from Keyword Technologies, including Abin James explained the growing demand for Tekla-trained professionals in structural design, steel detailing and Building Information Modeling (BIM). The team shared practical insights, real-time project experiences, and potential career pathways, underscoring how proficiency in such tools enhances technical competence, practical understanding, and employability of engineering graduates.
As part of the program, internship offer letters—previously extended to students—were formally distributed to enrolled participants. Officials briefed students on the three-month internship structure, training methodology, and performance expectations, while assuring job opportunities for those who successfully complete the program. This initiative motivated students to actively engage in skill development aligned with current industry needs.
