TMA Student Chapter 2025-26 kicks off with great enthusiasm, igniting minds and shaping futures

Vidya has taken a significant step towards fostering stronger collaboration between academia and industry. Vidya proudly hosted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Thrissur Management Association (TMA) on 28 January 2026, marking the launch of a strategic partnership designed to enhance professional learning, skill development, and industry exposure for both students and faculty

In alignment with its ongoing initiatives, the Thrissur Management Association (TMA) Student Chapter proudly inaugurated its activities for the academic year 2025–26 on 31 March 2026 at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology (VAST). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and distinguished guests, making it a truly memorable and inspiring occasion.

The programme began with a prayer, setting a positive and inspiring tone, followed by a warm welcome address by Ms. Honey Mol P K (Asst. Prof. – Sr. Grade, ECE Dept.). Dr. Sunitha C (Principal) delivered the presidential address and emphasizied the importance of student engagement in professional organizations like TMA for holistic growth.

Dr. Nowshaja P T (Director,TMA Student Chapter) provided an insightful briefing on the chapter’s vision, objectives, and opportunities for students, highlighting how TMA fosters leadership, communication and professional skills.

The Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. V Venugopal (former President,TMA),who shared valuable insights on discipline, confidence, and communication skills, motivating students to actively participate in professional platforms for personal and career growth.Special Address by Er. P K Ashokan (Author Trustee & Chief Patron, VICT) inspired students to fully leverage the opportunities offered by the TMA Student Chapter. Students were motivated to take part in National Business Quiz competitions, Business Plan contests and to leverage the TMA platform for developing public speaking and leadership skills. The session also emphasized essential values such as discipline, humility, teamwork, and effective time management.Mementos were presented to Dr. V Venugopal and Dr. Nowshaja P T by Dr. Sunitha and Er. P K Ashokan as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for their valuable contributions.

A key ceremonial moment was the official handover of the TMA Student Chapter brochure to the Principal, symbolizing the formal initiation of the chapter.As a mark of appreciation for their invaluable contributions, Dr. Sunitha and Er. P K Ashokan respectively honored Dr. V Venugopal and Dr. Nowshaja P T with mementos.

The felicitation addresses were delivered by eminent personalities, including Mr K K Thilakan (Vice Chairman, VICT), Mr. Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT), Dr. Shalij P R (Director- Academics, VICT), Mr. Amith Raman (CEO, Inker Robotics) and Mr. Paul Chakola (Head, Training & Placement). Their addresses highlighted the importance of leadership, skill development, and active participation in professional platforms.

The event was further honored by the presence of Adv. Unnirajan IPS (Retd) (Director-Administration, VICT), heads of academic departments and TMA students, whose participation added prestige and significance to the occasion.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Amar Nadh (President, TMA Student Chapter, VAST, S2 CSE Dept) extending hearty gratitude to all dignitaries, organizers, and participants for making the event a success

The event was co-ordinated by Ms. Honey Mol P K (Asst. Prof. – Sr. Grade, ECE Dept.) and Mr. Naveen T P (Asst. Prof., ME Dept.) who will continue to coordinate the activities of the TMA Student Chapter. Ms. Ayisha handled the compering, ensuring that the programme ran smoothly and seamlessly.
