Vidya Central Library felicitates winners of Constitution Day Essay Writing Competition

Vidya Central Library, in collaboration with ISTE, organized an Essay Writing Competition on the occasion of Constitution Day to promote awareness about the fundamental rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution and their role in addressing social challenges.

The competition encouraged participants to critically examine how constitutional rights, particularly the right to education and the right to health, are essential for poverty alleviation. Students reflected on the relevance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 – Quality Education, in shaping inclusive national development strategies.

The prize distribution ceremony held on 28 January 2026 recognized the winners (Syamjith V (First Prize – S, CSE Dept) and  Arathi Krishna V. B (Second Prize – S4, CSE Dept) with cash awards and certificates, while the evaluators  commended the students’ insight, creativity, and understanding of current socio-economic challenges.Dr. Sunitha C. (Principal) presented the prizes to the winners and commended their innovative ideas, analytical skills, and awareness of socio-economic issues

Led by Mr. Girish Kumar P. C. (Librarian) the event was co-ordinated by Ms. Surabhi M. S. (Asst Librarian), Mr. Aneesh M. A (Library Attendant) and Mr. K. Vijayanarayanan (Library Attendant). Mr. Sarath Babu Ramachandran (ISTE Secretary, Asst Prof – Seln.Grade, ME Dept) provided essential supportcontributing to the seamless conduct of the competition.
