IEDC orgainses a session on Job Openings, Startup Development and Skill Sets
Under the auspices of IEDC, a session was conducted on “Job Openings, Startup Development and Skill Set” by LiveWire, an authorized training partner of STED COUNCIL, specializing in training in software, hardware, networking and management. The team from LiveWire explained the latest developments in electronic, electrical and computer industry, job opportunities in industries and the need of skilled professionals in the industry. Though a large number of engineering students come out of colleges, adequately skilled or trained candidates are preferred by the employers. The number of job availability is likely to decrease with time as automation and IoT lead to a situation where industries will require only professionals with highly specialised skills. This leads to the importance of doing genuine industrial internships that will provide skill sets for placement opportunities or refinement to setup startup companies by students. Twenty five students belonging to EEE, CSE and ME branches attended the session held in in IEDC room on 4 May 2018.
