Two Vidya teams shortlisted for Grand Finale of SIH 2020

Recently, these pages carried the story of a Vidya team winning the first prize in the national Smart India Hackathon 2020 (Software Edition) contest. One more team from Vidya had also participated in the contest and, though did not win the first prize, became one among the five shortlisted contestants. Considering the fact that it was an all India competition, this itself is a commendable achievement. Congratulations to the members of the team which secured this memorable achievement.

The team named HakunaMatata set themselves the target of tackling the challenge posed in Problem Statement MK105 : Predicting the Trends of Quality-oriented Jobs. The problem description reads as  follows:

Problem Statement MK 105

The objective is to develop a software solution to predict the future jobs based on location, sectors, package and eligibility. Big data analysis can be useful to collect and analyse data from different job sites and predict the future requirements applying machine learning /deep learning techniques.
