Winners of  ‘Read Review &  Rekindle’ – A Book Review Competition by VAST Central Library  

In order to promote  reading skills  among our students, VAST Central Library conducted  an online Book Review Competition christened ‘’Read Review  & Rekindle’’. It also helps to develop critical thinking skills and to improve the self-confidence of  the students. The entries received were of commendable quality and the articles were meticulously evaluated to identify the best.

Prize Distribution Ceremony

Declaration of winners and the prize distribution ceremony was held on 15 July 2022 at  the  Common Computer Centre. Mr P C Girishkumar (Librarian) delivered the welcome address . He emphasized the various resources available in the library to raise a deeper level of reading experiences and spoke about the benefits  of instilling a need to read . He congratulated all the participants and urged them to continue their active participation in all the forthcoming events which are being scheduled to be conducted by Central library .

Dr N Ramachandran (HoD ME Dept), in his speech stressed on the  need for cultivating good reading habits  among the students. He appreciated all the participants  and also emphasized on conducting such programmes regularly with attractive price money. Dr N Ramachandran distributed the cash  prizes to the winners.

The session ended with a vibrant talk by one of the voracious readers,  Mr. Sinan Sulaiman ( S2, ME Dept). Ms.Surabhi (Asst Librarian) reviewed the entries received from the participants. Mr Aneesh M A  and Mr K Vijayanarayanan supported the event by providing all the literary documents.
