ECE Students arrange a function to honour ‘Dept Sports Champions’ and a befitting tribute to Ms Jeeja K R on her retirement

To encourage and applaud the sporting prowess of Sports Champions in the Dept,the Students of ECE Dept, organized a function to honour  ‘Department Sports Champions’ on 31 March 2023.Dr S Swapna Kumar (HoD, ECE Dept) presided over the function.The department had secured the title of Team Championship (Women) in the recently held Annual Athletic Meet 2023.Vishnu Preema (S8 ECE Dept), Jincy P J (S6, ECE Dept) were adjudged the position of ‘Individual Champions’ by securing 2 Individual gold medals during the Athletic Meet. The winners were honored with a memento and  certificates presented by Dr  S Swapna Kumar and Ms Jeeja K R (Trade Instructor, ECE Dept) respectively.

The students arranged a farewell to Ms Jeeja K R (Trade Instructor, ECE Dept), who was imparted not only skills but also valuable ethics to every student, retired from her service on 31 March 2023.Dr  S Swapna Kumar (HoD, ECE Dept),Mr Anil M (Asst Prof,ECE Dept),Mr Sudhan K R (Trade Instructor,ME Dept), Mr Arun P R (Trade Instructor, EEE Dept) and Ms Jemy Jose Kakkassery (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) shared their cherished memories  on the occasion. They recollected  that  Ms Jeeja always provided them with the most comfortable environment to work  and has set remarkable examples for the young generations to follow.Colleagues from various  Depts also attended the farewell session with heavy heart.Ms Jeeja was also felicitated by awarding a memento by students. It was an auspicious day to relish for the rest of their life. They extended good wishes to the retiree and wished for her healthy post retirement life.
