VSEC announces second edition of ‘Vidya Science Scholarship 2023’ for School Students from Thrissur District

Vidya welcomes the brightest minds to experiment with their knowledge that provide them a wonderful opportunity of sharing the self-learning experience.

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC) , an initiative of Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT) announces the second edition of Scholarship program (2023) to support students of eighth standard with scholarship amount for five years. The Vidya Science Scholarship program was launched in the year 2022 and five students are the recipients of the Scholarship (2022).

Vidya Science Scholarship for 5 years is open for the most talented students who have recently graduated from the 7th grade and are now in their eighth grade. The Scholarship begins from the year 2023 to 2028 and aims at promoting science awareness among school students. The scholarship will be given yearly based on the progress evaluation throughout the academic year. The students will be selected through two rounds of Scholarship examination “Vidya Science Talent Test “. The first stage would be an online examination which will be conducted on 24 August 2023 for eighth standard students from Thrissur district. The examination will be between 7.30 and 8 pm. Selected students from first stage of examination will have to attend an offline exam at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology in the month of September 2023.Top five students would be the recipient of Vidya Science Scholarship(2023).

The specific goal stands to support students in their middle and high school for their academic growth by raising awareness through motivational and educational talks.

The Vidya Science Scholarship Coordinators are Salkala K S (Asst Prof, MCA Dept) Dr Vineetha C P (Asst Prof, AS Dept) ), and Aswin V P (S7 ME Dept). They are supported by the energetic team members Abin Joshy (S5, ME Dept), Akhila M (S7 , ECE Dept), Evelina Rose Joju (S7, CSE Dept), Sreya M S (S5, ECE Dept). VSEC Student Volunteers and Core team members have been supporting the team. Dr Siju K C (Head of VSEC, Asst Prof, AS Dept) has been guiding the team with the constant support of Er P K Asokan (Chief Patron, VICT) and Adv. P N Unnirajan IPS Retd (Adv. P N Unnirajan IPS Retd (Director of VSEC, Director-Administration, VICT).
