NSS students of Vidya jointly with Velur Gram Panchayat plant tree saplings

NSS students of Vidya, as part of ‘Meri Mitti Mera Desh’ (‘My Land My Country’) program to mark the 77th anniversary of independence Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav across the country planted tree saplings on 14 August 2023. Shade trees were planted in memory of freedom fighters and national security.

Mr T R Shobi (Velur Panchayat President) inaugurated the event by planting a shade tree and then NSS students along with the persons gathered there pledged to work for the upliftment and welfare of the nation.NSS students also happily shared some time at Budd’s Rehabilitation Centre.

The event was conducted under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officers, Mr Rajesh S K (Asso Prof, EEE Dept) and Mr Ranjith E R (Asst Prof, ME Dept) and Ms Sarika K T (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) along with keen support from the entire NSS volunteers.
