Blood Donation Camp by Vidya NSS Units in association with Rudhirasena and IMA Blood Bank

The NSS Units of Vidya have been or organizing various events to highlight the commitment of Vidya students and faculty towards social welfare and community service.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) units 101, 200, 662, and 663 of Vidya,  in collaboration with Rudhirasena and the IMA Blood Bank, successfully organized a blood donation camp on 16 August 2024. The event, which was met with great enthusiasm and support, saw the participation of both students and staff members who came forward to donate blood voluntarily.

The camp was held on campus and saw a commendable response, with 100 individuals, including students and faculty, voluntarily donating blood. The donors adhered to all guidelines provided, ensuring a smooth and efficient process throughout the day.

The program(with count of 100 Total Blood Donations in which 23 First-time Donors) was meticulously coordinated by NSS Volunteer Secretaries Aswathy E S, Mrithyunjay R, Nistal K Paul, Devika Mothilal, Obadh Jose, ArdraShanmughan, Aruna R Menon and Adarsh N A, along with Rudhirasena co-ordinators Aswin P Prakash, Aljin, and Frijo Antony, under the able guidance of faculty coordinators: Mr. Rajesh S K (NSS Program Officer and Associate Professor, EEE Dept), Mr. Ranjith E R (NSS Program Officer and Assistant Professor, ME Dept), and Ms. Delmy David V (NSS Program Officer and Assistant Professor, CSE Dept).

The collective efforts of the coordinators ensured the event’s success, and the blood donation camp concluded without any delays or disruptions. The NSS units of VAST extend their heartfelt gratitude to all donors, Rudhirasena, IMA Blood Bank, and the volunteers for their invaluable contributions to this noble cause.
