ME Dept organises a colorful programme to mark the release of Dept magazine

The 4th volume of the ME Department magazine was released in a colorful programme organised by the the Dept at the College Auditorium on 10/11/17. The programme started at 1.25 pm, with an invocation followed by welcome speech by Vishnudas, S7 B. Tech. (ME). Dr. Sudha Balagopalan, Principal, delivered the presidential address.

Dr. Ramachandran, HoD, ME Dept., introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Subhramani Ramasheshan, to the audience. The magazine was released by  handing over a copy of the magazine to the chief guest by Er. G. Mohanachandran, Executive Director, VICT.

Principal formally welcomed Dr. Ramachandran, Retd. Prof NITC, to the College as the new HOD to ME Dept. This was followed by a brief ceremony honouring of Dr. Sooraj K Prabha and Mr Praveen A P  for securing funding from ISRO for their projects. Several students who have excelled themselves in different extra-curricular activities were also honoured on the occasion. These include student achievers of Calicut University D zone competitions, members of Cricket Team and NSS volunteers. Mr. Subhramani Ramasheshan, talked at length on mobile tower infrastructure.

Several cultural events were presented by ME students. There was also an interactive session with the crew members of the Malayalam movie Queen.

Vote of thanks was delivered by Nidheesh, S7 B. Tech. (ME), Secretary, Mechanical Engineering Aassociation. Session came to an end by 4.45 PM.
