Vidya strives to kindle the academic milieu for encouragement of quality of teaching-learning.

The esteemed National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team recently conducted a thorough assessment at Vidya during 21-22 October 2024. The visit, undertaken by a dedicated team of experts, aimed to evaluate the institution’s academic standards, infrastructure, research activities, extracurricular activities and overall performance. The peer team performed an objective evaluation of the quality of education presented in the Higher Education Institution (HEI).

Starting with the Principal’s presentation, the team visited all departments, Classrooms, Laboratories. All academic and administrative  facilities, including that of  Central Library,  Canteen, Sports ground, hostels, Pranavam auditorium, Gymnasium, Solar plant were checked very carefully.  Various queries were raised and clarifications sought. The Peer Team during its visit assessed and evaluated curricular, teaching and learning activities, research work, extension, infrastructure and learning facilities, and other aspects of the college. They held interactions with Governing Body, alumni, parents , students, teaching staff and non-teaching staff  members.

Discussions centered on the widespread value system at Vidya, best practices like Honesty Shop, Organic Bazaar, Integrated Farming,extra-curricular activities, support system, skills imparted, curriculum, placements, environmental awareness and institutional social responsibility.

The whole Vidya community has been given immense support by it in one way or the other. All the Data sheets have been a vital source of information about academic, curricular & co-curricular activities held in the College. The steering committee had a series of meetings with all the committees that oversee the various aspects of the working of the college.

The Staff members worked tirelessly to ensure all documentation, records, and infrastructure were in order. The team had meetings with Management, Principal and HoDs as well.

Outstanding project exhibitions showcased innovation and creativity of students .Wall of fame highlighting  Vidya’s achievements and milestones  gave an overview of Vidya . Vidya @ News highlighted the news appearing with achievements and events . A total of  115 Vidya students with mesmerizing dance spectacle to the upbeat that  set the stage on fire. Diligent preparation and coordination by Staff Members  and students filled  cultural richness show christened ‘Keraleeyam”  with energy, passion, and talent. Students presented vibrant folk dances, highlighting the state’s traditional movements and rhythms.They weaved stories through choreography that exceeded boundaries and enthused the NAAC team. Vidya  brought  in the feel of an impressive performance at a temple festival on welcoming the NAAC  peer team .Two girls led the panchavadyam team, drawing applause from spectators, especially from the NAAC  peer team who gave immense appreciation on  the perfect synchronization of all musical instruments . 

Exit Meeting

The  exit meeting was held with Dr Sunitha C (Principal), Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director ) and HoDs on 22 October 2024. 

The NAAC’s visit served as an announcement of Vidya’s pursuit of excellence and acknowledgment of its contributions to education.

With the strong recommendations and suggestions made by NAAC Peer Team, the institution will continue  to nurture the finest minds to produce  innovative ideas for progress frontiers, strengthening fundamentals  and ushering a positive change towards  Vidya’s  academic excellence.
