Vidya realizes the remarkable vision of the framers of the Constitution, particularly Dr B R Ambedkar (Chairman, Drafting Committee of the Constitution) and their keenness for drafting a document that ensures the security of fundamental rights for all citizens, regardless of their background. We commemorated a historic milestone on 26 November, 2024, marking the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India. On November 26, 1949. the Indian Constituent Assembly formally adopted the Constitution, which came into effect on January 26, 1950, establishing India as a sovereign, democratic republic. With an aim to make awareness about the remarkable vision of the framers of the Constitution among younger citizens, Vidya Central Library in Association with ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) organized an Extempore Competition on 26 November 2024. The Extempore platform served as an excellent way to support the students not only in spontaneous opinion but also in asserting their creative ideas with precision about nation’s culture, principles, and ethics. The venue helped the students confident and better orators and fearlessly expressed their views on the topic ‘The role of younger citizens to uphold the values and contribution to the society and importance in India’s democratic framework’ .
