NSS Volunteers bring smiles to kids at Velur Anganwadi on Children’s Day
In a heartfelt initiative to make Children’s Day special, the NSS volunteers from Vidya Academy of Science and Technology celebrated the occasion with the kids at Velur Anganwadi on 14 November 2024. The program aimed to fill the day with joy and creativity, leaving a lasting impression on the young hearts.
A team of 20 NSS volunteers visited the Anganwadi, distributing sweets, gifts, and handmade cards to the children. The volunteers also organized engaging artistic performances, creating a vibrant atmosphere and bringing smiles to the kids’ faces.
The program began with an inspiring Children’s Day message delivered by the NSS Program Officers, emphasizing the importance of childhood and the potential of young minds.
The celebration was expertly coordinated by NSS Volunteer Secretaries, Aswathy E S (S5, CSE Dept), Mrithyunjay R (S5, EEE Dept), Nistal K Paul (S5, ME Dept), Devika Mothilal (S5, ECE Dept), Obadh Jose (S5, ME Dept), Ardra Shanmughan (S5, EEE Dept), Aruna R Menon (S5, CSE Dept) and Adarsh N A (S5, ME Dept)
Their meticulous planning and dedication ensured the program’s success. Faculty coordinators Ms Delmy David V (NSS Program Officer and Asst Prof, CSE Dept) and Ms Anu Maria Antony (NSS Program Officer and Asst Prof, CE Dept) provided valuable guidance and support throughout the event.
