NSS Volunteers undertake Herbal Garden Cleaning at Velur Panchayath  

As part of their commitment to environmental conservation and community service, the NSS volunteers organized Herbal Garden Cleaning at Velur Panchayath on 02 January 2025. , NSS volunteers carried out a cleaning drive at the Herbal Garden in Velur Panchayath. A total of 22 volunteers actively participated in the initiative, cleaning approximately 25 cents of space that had been overgrown with unwanted plants due to an insufficient cleaning routine. The area was densely covered with weeds and wild plants, which hindered the growth of medicinal herbs planted earlier. The volunteers diligently removed the waste plants, cleared the pathways, and ensured proper segregation of organic waste, thereby restoring the area to a cleaner and more organized state.

The activity was expertly coordinated by the NSS Volunteer Secretaries, including Aswathy E S (S5, CSE Dept), Mrithyunjay R (S5, EEE Dept), Nistal K Paul (S5,ME Dept), Devika Mothilal (S5, ECE Dept), Obadh Jose (S5, ME Dept), Ardra Shanmughan (S5, EEE Dept), Aruna R Menon (S5, CSE Dept), and Adarsh N A (S5, ME Dept). Their meticulous planning and unwavering dedication played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the program.

The faculty coordinators, Mr Rajesh S K (NSS Program Officer,  Asso Prof, EEE Dept), Mr Ranjith E R ((NSS Program Officer,  Asst Prof, ME Dept), Ms. Delmy David V (NSS Program Officer,  Asst Prof, CSE Dept) and Ms.Anu Maria Antony (NSS Program Officer, Asst Prof, CE Dept) provided valuable guidance and support throughout the event. Their involvement was instrumental in ensuring the smooth conduct of the activity. The cleaning work carried out by the NSS volunteers significantly improved the condition of the herbal garden, making it more conducive for future maintenance and use. This initiative underscores the commitment of NSS volunteers to environmental conservation and community.
