NSS Initiative Punarjani: Maintenance and Service Programme at Wadakkanchery Taluk Hospital

As part of the NSS initiative Punarjani, a one-day maintenance and service programme was successfully conducted at Wadakkanchery Taluk Hospital on 24 July 2025. The activity was carried out with the wholehearted participation of NSS volunteers from Vidya, under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officers.The primary objective of the programme was  The team focused on repairing hospital furniture and medical aids, thereby contributing to improved patient care and service delivery.

Major Tasks Completed:

  • Repair and servicing of wheelchairs

  • Repair and alignment of patient beds and cots

  • General cleaning and assistance in arranging equipment

The smooth and efficient execution of the programme was made possible through the enthusiastic leadership of the NSS Volunteer Secretaries: Harikrishnan K (S5,  ME Dept), Godwin C Baiju (S5,ME Dept), Sonu Sunny (S5, ME Dept) and Rashmi V R (S5, ECE Dept).

The programme was effectively coordinated under the guidance of Mr. Ranjith E R (NSS Program Officer, Asst Prof, ME Dept) and Ms. Delmy David V (NSS Program Officer, Asst Prof, CSE Dept)

The hospital authorities expressed their appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the volunteers and acknowledged the positive impact of their work. The activity also provided students with a valuable hands-on service experience, further reinforcing the NSS motto: “Not Me, But You.”
