CE faculty member enhances skills through FDP and Online Training Program” completes FDP and attends online training program

Vidya  faculty members enhance the academic and professional competencies by participating in an FDP and an online training program, thereby strengthening teaching effectiveness and subject expertise.

Completion of  FDP by IIT Madras TLC

Ms. Chithira Ajeeth,  (Asst Prof,CE Dept)  successfully completed a Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “How Teachers Can Make a Difference” organized by the Teaching Learning Centre (TLC) of IIT Madras. The program was conducted from November 6–8, 2025, and focused on enhancing pedagogical skills, effective classroom engagement strategies, and innovative teaching methodologies.

The FDP highlighted modern approaches to teaching, including outcome-based education, student-centered learning, and the integration of technology in classroom delivery. Through interactive sessions, expert lectures, and hands-on practice modules, participants gained valuable insights into improving instructional effectiveness, fostering active learning environments, and enhancing student motivation and academic performance.

Upon successful completion, Ms. Chithira Ajeeth was awarded a certificate of participation, recognizing her dedication to professional growth and excellence in teaching.

Online Training Completion

Ms. Chithira Ajeeth  (Asst Prof,CE Dept) completed an online training program titled “Introduction to Python Programming and Applications in Water Resources Sector”, organized by the National Water Academy (NWA), Central Water Commission (CWC), Pune. The training was conducted from 6–17 October 2025 and aimed at enhancing computational and analytical skills relevant to water resources engineering.

During the program, she gained hands-on experience in Python programming, data analysis, and their applications in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resource management systems. The training also featured practical demonstrations, case studies, and interactive sessions delivered by domain experts from the water resources sector.Upon successful completion, Ms. Chithira Ajeeth was awarded an e-certificate, recognizing her active participation and commitment to professional development.
