Inauguration Ceremony of Civil Engineering Association (CEA) 2025-2026

With an aim to encourage leadership, teamwork, and professional development among civil engineering students, the inauguration ceremony of the Civil Engineering Association (CEA) of the Department of Civil Engineering for the academic year 2025–2026 was held on 24 September 2025. The event marked the formal commencement of the association’s activities for the academic year.

The program began with a solemn prayer, followed by the traditional Ranga Pooja, creating an auspicious and graceful start to the ceremony. The gathering was formally welcomed by Ms. Krishnapriya P S (CEA Secretary, S7 CE Dept), who extended her warm greetings to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students present.

The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Abhilasha P. S.  (Prof, HoD, CE Dept). In her address, she emphasized the importance of student associations in fostering leadership qualities, teamwork, and technical competence among students.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Gireesh C G (CEO,GM Associates), was introduced by Mr. Kiran Babu A R (Asst. Prof,CE Dept). Following the introduction, the Association Magazine was officially released, and the CEA for the academic year 2025–2026 was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest.

Mr. Gireesh  then delivered an inspiring inaugural talk, where he shared valuable insights into industry expectations and highlighted the crucial role of civil engineers in shaping sustainable and resilient infrastructure. His talk provided motivation and practical guidance to the students.

The session continued with a presentation showcasing glimpses from the previous academic year, presented by Mr. Ashish Krishna (President, CEA, S7, CE Dept), highlighting the various activities, programs, and achievements of the association. Subsequently, Mr. Renjith R (Staff-in-Charge, Asst. Prof,CE Dept) introduced the newly elected CEA panel, after which the office bearers took a pledge to uphold the values and responsibilities of the association.

The event also included certificate distribution, recognizing and encouraging the contributions and achievements of students. The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Athira Anandan P (S7, CE Dept). This was followed by a vibrant cultural program performed by the Civil Engineering Department students, adding a lively and celebratory spirit to the occasion.
