Alumni Interaction Session by MCA
To provide MCA students with insights into academic and research opportunities, career paths, and industry expectations through the experiences of a distinguished alumna, the Department of Computer Applications (MCA), organized an engaging Alumni Interaction Session under the banner of ViCA on 19 February 2026.
The session, titled “Sharing the Journey: Experiences & Insights”, featured Ms. Fayisa P H (Research Scholar, Department of Computer Science at the University of Kerala, Kariavattom Campus, Thiruvananthapuram, 2014–17 batch, MCA) as the resource person. She shared her academic journey, research experiences, and valuable insights into higher studies and career progression in the field of Computer Science.
During the interaction, Ms. Fayisa emphasized the importance of continuous learning, developing a research-oriented mindset, enhancing technical skills, and staying updated with emerging technologies. She also discussed various opportunities in research, competitive examinations, and industry roles, encouraging students to set clear goals and work consistently towards achieving them.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and seeking clarification on career paths, research opportunities, and skill development strategies. The alumni interaction served as an inspiring platform for current MCA students to connect with an accomplished alumna and gain real-world perspectives.
